The Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Championship holds two fiddle camps every year. Our fiddle camps are designed for fiddlers and pianists to learn old time tunes and piano accompaniment. The emphasis is on playing by ear; however, some music is available. This is an opportunity to learn from some of the best musicians in Canada in a relaxed setting where we want you to have fun while you learn. If you love traditional fiddling and have a basic knowledge of playing, this camp is for you. Piano players should have a basic knowledge of piano and chords. We have classes for everyone, young and old, and for all levels of playing. Our summer fiddle camp fills up early so be sure and book your spot in the new winter camp soon. --------- The 2008 Winter Fiddle Camp is a weekend workshop and will be held Feb. 29, March 1 and 2 at the beautiful Camp des Voyageurs Tim Horton in Quyon, Quebec, located in the Pontiac Bay of the Ottawa River, about 50 kilometres upstream from Ottawa/Gatineau.
