Pierre Schryer is part of the vibrant Franco-Ontarian culture of Canada and from an early age was immersed in the music and traditions of his heritage. As a solo performer he has received numerous titles and awards including Canadian Open Fiddle Champion, Canadian Grand Masters Fiddle Champion, Violoneux Championnat, and North American Irish Fiddle Champion. Pierre truly captivates audiences with his energy, genuine warmth, and flawless ability in any style from Irish, Scottish and Québecois, to Canadian, American, or Swing. A fourth generation musician and a native of Co. Clare on the west coast of Ireland, Gearoid Ó hAllmhuráin (www.gearoid.us) holds five World Championship Irish music titles: as a concertina player, uilleann piper, and as a member of the renowned Kilfenora Céilí Band (www.kilfenoraceiliband.com), the oldest traditional dance band in Ireland. Over the years, he has adjudicated numerous Irish traditional music competitions, including the prestigious Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann (World Championship Irish music competition) and various Irish music competitions throughout North America.
Ian Clark is highly regarded nationally and internationally as a guitar accompaniest for Celtic music. He lives in Ottawa, was born in the middle east and brought up in Scotland. Ian played a great deal of swing guitar before he discovered Irish and Scottish music and applied his considerable skill to playing jigs and reels. He is much sought after as an accompanist, and has played with some of Canada's best, including the famed Friends of Fiddler’s Green.
