We are the Goulbourn Grans, one of many "Grannie Groups" across Canada who are raising funds for the Stephen Lewis Foundation's "Grandmother to Grandmother" campaign. This provides support for African grandmothers who are raising their grandchildren who have been orphaned by HIV/AIDS. We are presenting a fundraising concert on Saturday May 9th at 7.30 pm at St Thomas Anglican Church, 1619 Stittsville Main Street in Stittsville, featuring celtic fiddler and singer Sarah Burnell and her Band. Two grandmothers from Africa will be attending the concert, and will speak briefly about the current situation on that continent, and about the difference that the Grandmother to Grandmother program has made in their lives.
