A CD Release Celebration for "News From Up The Street" with special guests Ian Tamblyn and Jason Fowler Anne Lindsay, one of Canada's finest contemporary violinists and fiddlers, is coming to Ottawa on Saturday, February 3, as part of a celebration tour for her second CD, "News From Up The Street". With virtuosity in a wealth of musical styles and a rare talent for improvisation, Anne has made brilliant use of her award-winning talents on this superb new album. She spent much of 2006 performing in the Lord of the Rings stage show in Toronto, then criss-crossed the country as part of the Jim Cuddy Band. On February 3 at the Fourth Stage, she will celebrating her own music, fingers in full flight, setting the night on fire. Accompanying Anne on this tour will be stellar guitarist, Jason Fowler. For this show only, Ian Tamblyn will be featured as well. Anne and Ian have worked on several film scores together, and they have travelled to Rankin Inlet twice to run workshops for Inuit youth. Anne and Ian will perform a number of pieces together during the concert. Doors open 7:30. | |||||||
