Imagine 700 Quebec artists, from all disciplines, performing in the national spotlight on the stages of Ottawa/Gatineau: that’s the Quebec Scene, presented by the National Arts Centre from April 20 to May 5, 2007. Musicians, actors, dancers, visual and media artists, writers, acrobats, storytellers and master chefs will invade theatres, concert halls and museums, clubs, galleries and even the streets, with a new creative energy. Quebec Scene will celebrate a dynamic culture: a synergy of the old and the new, of traditions and new technologies, of established and emerging artists. Third in a series of biennial regional festivals, Quebec Scene follows the Alberta Scene which took place in 2005 and Atlantic Scene in 2003. | |||||
